Bariatric equipment are aids designed to accommodate larger sized users to safely and comfortably support them and also to assist their carer.

Whilst there aren’t standardised specifications, bariatric equipment typically caters for users over 125kg, with a seated width greater than 50cm. The equipment is considered heavy duty, with larger, stronger and more durable parts to cater to the needs of bariatric users.
